I received this lovely cookbook in the post not long ago, and I’m a big fan of finding new recipes. Sometimes I get a little lazy, so anything that can save me time is a HUGE bonus! I hate the moments where you come home from work and just don’t feel like cooking but don’t want a takeaway! (Trying to be healthy is a struggle!)
I like that you can get a lot of the work done the ahead of time, I do try my best to make my meals a day or two ahead or at least prepare, especially if I’ve got guests. There are over 100 recipes in the book, beautiful photos and easy to follow recipes. I’m not a fan of cookbooks that over-complicate and over-crowd recipes, or go the other way and just have too many photos, This has a nice balance and I’m impressed!
I’m yet to try any recipes, but I’ve started a bit of a shopping list for next week, there are a couple recipes in there making my mouth water that I need to try ASAP! Duck breast with peas and mint sounds like a dream to me!
Jane Lovett is a food writer, trained at Cordon Blue in London and has taught at Leiths School of Food & Wine and more, I’ll be taking a look at her website to find out more about her other recipes, and maybe even see if she’s doing a cookery demo near me!
I’ll have to keep you updated when I give my first recipie a try!
