I don’t know what your bucket list looks like currently, or if you have one at all. If you don’t, it’s something you should put some serious thought into. Because I like writing lists… and everyone should list things… I’m not crazy I swear. Having a bucket list can help give you direction in life. It tells you where you want to go when you’re not working. When you think about it, your experiences are the only things you ever really carry with you. Material possessions don’t mean anything in the grand scheme of things. If you’re thinking of making a list or want to make it even longer, take a look at 10 things you’re going to want to add:

The Ice Hotel

The Ice hotel in Sweden looks incredible. It’s rebuilt every winter after melting in springtime! Every year there’s something slightly different, but it’s one of the most amazing things you’ll ever see. I hate being too warm so it’s ideal for a grumpy one like me.

The Grand Canyon

The Grand Canyon is one of the natural wonders of the world, at 277 miles long. It’s one of the most beautiful things you’ll ever see and makes for some fantastic photo opportunities. I’m not sure I could stomach it but I’ve heard a helicopter ride over the canyon is a lot of fun…

An Outdoor Cinema

We’ve all watched the American films where perfect couples eat popcorn in their cars and groaned in protest. I have to say I find the idea of it quite odd, but I’d give it a go! Seen as though we’re all being spammed with invites to the Outdoor Cinema in the UK on Facebook, it’d be rude not to right?

The Northern Lights

The Northern lights are another gorgeous natural wonder. Watching those beautiful colours in the sky is something you can’t put into words. I’m quite obsessed with the idea of visiting. I think I’ve mentioned it far too many times already. To understand it, you’ll need to learn more about the Northern lights. It’s really fascinating!

A Sky Dive or Bungee

Or both! Doing a sky dive or a bungee jump is bound to be a lot of fun. It’s something most people say they want to do and then never get round to. I can see why some people (me) would find it absolutely terrifying; in fact, you’d probably have to push me. Nope, you’d definitely have to push me…

Swimming With Dolphins

Swimming with dolphins is always a popular one.  I’m quite passionate about the protection of animals and I believe we should leave them to be! If you want to swim with dolphins travel to see them in their natural environment. There’s nothing worse than seeing such a large creature caged in a water park.

This brings me on to snorkeling. It’s a pretty good way to get up close and personal with sea life and see something beautiful. Well, not that I’d get my hair wet ;)

Climb a Mountain

It sounds good doesn’t it, ‘I climbed a mountain’? It’s a bit like running a marathon, but I think you could 1+up those people that like to show off their running shirts!

Run a Race

Speaking of marathons, Not everybody likes running, but that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t do it. Wouldn’t it be nice to know that you can, even if you don’t want to? I do actually want to try… one day…

Ride in a Hot Air Balloon

If you like your adrenaline a little milder, this is the way to go. Riding in a hot air balloon is a good way to see beautiful sites without almost sicking up a lung. I think I could just about handle this.

Bear in mind that many people don’t get round to completing their bucket list. They might do a few things and then give up. They might not end up doing anything at all. It’s down to you how much you do and how much you don’t do. It’s totally possible to free yourself from all responsibilities and go for it if you really want to. Go crazy.
