I came to the end of my usual brow kit and decided to try a new, cheaper alternative, the Rimmel Brow This Way eyebrow kit in dark brown.
It’s a brow sculpting kit and includes a double ended angled brush and a small eyebrow comb/wand (I don’t know where mine is from the pictures I made a bit of a mess.)
On one side you have wax, and the other a coloured setting powder.
I tried using just the wand and a bit of wax to set my brows but I didn’t feel like I had enough control or as sharp lines as I usually do.
The brush is okay but it’s probably better to use with a longer angled brush so you have more accuracy, I prefer a slightly firmer brush as well.
I tried with wax and powder using the brush, my eyebrows looked okay but I wasn’t that happy with them, a little to faint for me but that’s just personal preference (I like them to be goth black..).
I did realise it doesn’t quite have all day-durability. Though, I ended up using it and setting it with an eyeshadow I had which lasted a little longer before becoming oily (but my skin type may be a factor there).
Overall it’s a cheap product, a good budget buy and was reasonable for the meanwhile. I wouldn’t say don’t try it, definitely give it a go yourself! Though I probably wouldn’t use this every day but maybe in an eyebrow emergency! I have to say the brow powder is a lovely colour and I do use it occasionally on top of my Laura Mercier Brow Definer which is a great combo!
