I was lucky enough to be invited to the wonderful Mal Maison Hotel to experience BonPrix’s cocktail masterclass evening.

cx1a7375Before I get into the night itself, let me talk about the dress. I opted for a black cocktail dress with a little sparkle. Paired with my Vivienne Westwood Chancery bag & ankle boots.

cx1a7447I have to say, BonPrix is not someone I would immediately think  of when it comes to occasionwear, but when choosing my dress I had SO many favorites!

What I loved most about this event, is that every blogger wore a different dress – no dupes. There was enough choice and it’s always nice to see different styles of dresses on a group of people who vary in age, style etc.

My dress itself wasn’t something I’d normally pick but I lOVE it. It’s incredibly flattering, not too clingy and the sparkles don’t have that tacky diamante feel.cx1a7591

The mesh panel was just ‘meshy’ enough to not be see-through. Overall I loved this dress, perfect length, and fit for a night of cocktails.

Those bartending days in Uni paid off,  have to say I was rather pleased. We made a cocktail similar to a cosmo and a gin-based Mojito – both went down a treat.

Thanks to Search Labs for the pics & the lovely staff at Mal Maison for putting up with a room of giggling bloggers for the eve.
