It’s summer! The key to looking good when you’re in the sun is keeping things simple. When you try to over-complicate your look, it can all go wrong. Instead, you need to ensure that every aspect of your beauty regime is quick and easy. After all, when you’re on holiday, you don’t want to spend hours making yourself up.

Trick #1 – Ensure that your hair is beach ready

First of all, you need to get your hair right. If you are the type of girl who spends hours on her locks, you may have an issue with this trick. You want your hair to look perfect, yet you don’t have time to mess around with styling it. So, what do you do? Well, I suggest that you get a salt spray for your hair. You can use one of these products to get a fresh surf hair effect. All you need to do is spray some of the solution into your hair and then scrunch them up.

Trick #2 – Fake it until you make it

Of course, when summer comes around, everyone wants to have glowing skin. If you are quite pale, you may want to fake it a little before you hit the beach. There are many lotions out there that have some tanning solutions in them. If you use one on a daily basis before your break, you should build up a natural colour. Check out the vast range of tanning products ahead of choosing one. That way, you can be sure that you will get the right one for your skin type. I’m no tanning expert but I think I’m pretty close right?!

Trick #3 – Get in shape and own it

If you’re feeling a bit worse for wear, the worst thing you can do is go on your holiday afraid to go on the beach. Seriously spend time learning to be comfortabe with yourself. Wear your bikini or swimwear around the house – get used to being in your skin!

If you really feel as though you could lose a few inches, you might want to do something before you go away. Simple exercising such as doing one sit-up a day will help to tone your stomach area. If you’re really struggling, maybe next time consider a surgical option like a tummy tuck.

Trick #4 – Perfect understated makeup

Of course, you don’t want to go overboard when it comes to your holiday makeup. Every girl wants to look fantastic when they’re at the beach, but you should not have heavy makeup on you. I tend to use just a little foundation and some mascara on holiday. That way, you can still highlight your eyes without your look being too much for the beach. If you want, you can also pencil in your eyebrows for the ideal look
